Mozambique’s army says it has retaken control of the northern town of Palma from a group of fighters linked to ISIL (ISIS) that attacked it last month.
A military spokesman says a significant number of fighters were killed during the operation.
The UN says more than 20,000 people stayed in Palma despite the attack
It is hoped those who left will be able to return home soon.
